Richard started in 1960 at Cinesound Productions shooting black and white theatre newsreels.

1962 till the early 70's saw Richard working for ATN Channel 7, Sydney, travelling on many overseas assignments, such as "Seven Days in South East Asia".

As a freelance cameraman in the early 70's - his clients included British Airways and NHK Japanese television. He also worked on several television productions such as Skippy and Kerr's Kitchens.

Richard joined NEN Channel 9 Tamworth in 1977 where he received three Thorn Awards for television news. Richard also did freelance documentaries including a production for the Lightning Ridge Tourist Association.

In 1980 Richard was promoted to Chief News Cameraman with NEN 9. He was responsible for shooting a successful fishing show "Fish and Tips" with Robin Barlow.

Richard and Robin won the prestigious award for production of a series of documentaries on Water Catchment and Management in the North West area.

Several other documentaries were shot including Country Music and Grafton/Inverell Cycle race specials.

Richard produced a series of National Parks and Wildlife Service documentaries in association with Bill Morrison, a well known Northwest television and radio identity.

In 1988 Richard was selected by the National Prime Network to shoot and edit a series of television specials on the World Yachting Championships in Sweden.

One of Richard's major clients was Peel Valley Machinery, Tamworth. Richard was responsible for shooting a series of commercials during a drought that enabled Peel Valley Machinery to remain viable.

Three years ago Richard decided to set up his own business specialising in wedding videos, national news coverage and corporate videos. Richard has an excellent reputation with the Ten Network, ABC, TCN 9 and Prime Television.

Richard has been associated with ITCom Pty Limited for the past year as camera man and editor. He has worked on many of our major projects including a successful campaign commercial for the Harry Frost collection exhibitions held at renowned galleries in NSW.

Presently, Richard is completing three instructional videos for Jakab Industries Pty Ltd on new ambulance production for Victoria and South Australia.

Richard and his wife Maureen have resided for the past 26 years in Tamworth and lived for the last 17 years on a small property on the outskirts of town.
